BOTOX

Botox causes paralysis of specific muscles by preventing motion of the muscles thus allowing the folded skin to relax.

Botox is a protein derived from a bacteria. Although Botox is a toxin, there are no serious side effects associated with its use. The formula is injected in minute amounts and remains local. Once treated, the nerve impulses within the muscles are blocked and the muscle weakens. This weakness lasts for several months, after which the injection may be repeated. Since Botox only affects the muscles, there is no numbness following the procedure.

Now you can eliminate these frown lines, crows feet, and other facial lines without surgery and without scars utilizing a simple treatment with Botox. With time the affect wears off and retreatment is usually performed every 4 months. The treatment itself is quick and requires no anesthetic.

Approximately 1% of patients may develop a slight lowering, or ptosis, of one eyelid. This is temporary and may not even be noticed by the patient. Rare side effects can include eyelid heaviness, which is temporary. The only people that should not have Botox treatments are those known to be allergic, persons with neurological diseases, and pregnant women.

Juvederm

New from the makers of BOTOX, Juvederm is an injectable gel that smoothes wrinkles and folds especially around the nose and mouth. It is made of hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. Juvederm is very similar to Restylane and may last slightly longer

Radiesse

Radiesse is an injectable for deep facial folds and wrinkles. It is made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite which is very safe and FDA approved. Radiesse is longer lasting and may last 6-24 months.

Silikon 1000

Fat Transfer

Your own fat is “harvested” by liposuction and transferred to the face to plump the tissues and give a more youthful appearance. New advancements in Cosmetic Surgery have shown that “plumping” the tissues in the face can be much more effective in giving a healthier appearance than “stetching” the skin with face-lifting. Over time, the deeper tissue in the face thins and disappears. Transferring your own fat back into the face is safe and fills the sunken areas. Your excess fat is frozen and stored for touch-up treatments.
